My postdoctoral research concerns the legal conditions for contact tracing apps and the use of mobility data by public health authorities during the covid-19 crisis.
I wrote my doctoral thesis at the Institute for Information Law (Instituut voor Informatierecht - IViR), University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In my thesis I analyze the fundamental rights framework for online news recommender systems. The thesis defence still needs to take place.
I have stayed abroad a few times. During my doctorate program I stayed in the University of Cambridge, UK, for five months. During my research master's at the University of Amsterdam, I studied a semester abroad at Cardozo Law School, New York City. Towards the end of my master's program, I interned at the Rathenau Instituut, the Hague, in a joint project with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco. As part of this project, I lived in San Francisco for five months.
